Workshops

Friday afternoon (15:00 – 18:00)

The big Action Planning 1×1 [EN]

Creative (disobedient) actions can seem complex and overwhelming. Sometimes they expose us to repression and feel almost impossible to do. At the same time, many people experience a feeling of effectiveness and empowerment within a community of solidarity in the fight for a better world. In this workshop we will playfully go through the complete life cycle of a successful and appreciative campaign and delve into all the important aspects. Within several small group phases, participants can decide during the process in which areas they would like to deepen their knowledge.

Thereby we will touch following aspects:
What should our action/campaign picture look like? What story do we want to tell? Which actors are important to us? Which structural mechanisms of oppression do we reproduce within our group? Would you rather have a clandestine small group, a public mass action or something in between? What should we pay attention to when scouting out the action location? How does an action consensus look like? How do we manage to design actions so sustainably that we all do well in the long term?

Movement Building – How do we grow? [EN]

In this workshop, we will first provide an overview of the essential building blocks that can help to build and sustain a movement: Organising, mobilising, on boarding, relationship building, story telling, group care, connecting with others, campaigning, escalation, etc.
We will then focus on 2 – 3 of these elements in more depth. Depending on interest, small groups can focus e.g. on story telling, mobilisation strategies or on boarding and work on practical examples.

Transferraum / transfer lab

We want to create a space in which we can look at how we can transfer what we have learnt into our practice. The transfer lab is ideal for anyone who is active in a political group or organisation and would like to apply the content of the previous workshops there. In the transfer space, there is the opportunity to forge individual plans, to advise each other and to work together.
